Architecture that tells us a story ...

In rwandan culture, people have live always in the way of decoration of their house for assuring well-being for themselves and also for their visitors. They used traditional decoration for beautification of the spaces. They also use local material such as cowdung, different types of colors from natural sol and different various shapes: these are called imingongo decoration. As our site is planned to be a touristic zone, meaning it will hold different visitors from different parts of the country as well as out of the country. Thus, we adopted thus, we adopted imigongo for introducing imigongo patterns as part of our architectural design which will showcasing the development of traditional rwandan art.

A painting in its landscape…

This architectural work is inspired by its natural context and rwandanculture with its views of the lake and the mountains, it fits into its open natural context and becomes like a painting in its landscape that everyone can admire from close up and even from the other side of the lake.
